Who am I and what do I do?
Mostly, I am a storyteller. For nineteen years, I worked in public libraries as a storyteller and pre-school specialist, presenting story programs for all ages from infants to seniors. I read and told and sang stories, in preschool story times, in assemblies, outdoors at public events and in senior living centers. Always, I was touched by the remarkable effect stories have on people. I love to give that gift of "story" to listeners and readers.
Retired now, I divide my work time between writing and author visits. Occasionally I present workshops on puppetry and storytelling. My leisure time is spent with my family and traveling.
What Does Home Look Like?
Our little farm in Northeast Ohio is the perfect haven. It is our home, our sanctuary. We enjoy the seasons as they roll (or gust, or stomp!) across the fields and disappear into the woods. My husband, Harry, is the farmer. I'm the baker, the scribbler and the greatest threat to the flower beds.
